Blessings

I’m big on blessings~  To me weddings are a perfect time to add blessings to your life and specifically ask for them too.

You can have your rings blessed too

You can ask for blessings through prayers, words and poems.  Plus you can bless each other with you wedding vows.

Here’s a couple of blessings

Irish Wedding Blessing

Tip: If you like you can use this as part of your wedding vows if your writing your own.

You are the star of each night,

You are the brightness of every morning,

You are the story of each guest,

You are the report of every land.

No evil shall befall you, on hill nor bank,

In field or valley, on mountain or in glen.

Neither above, nor below, neither in sea,

Nor on shore, in skies above,

Nor in the depths.

You are the kernel of my heart,

You are the face of my sun,

You are the harp of my music,

You are the crown of my company.

Native American Blessings (Apache)

Now you will feel no rain,

For each of you will be shelter to the other.

Now you will feel no cold,

for each of you will be warmth to the other.

Now you will feel no loneliness,

for each of you will be companionship to the other.

Now you are two persons, but there is one life between you.

So go now to your dwelling place

to enter into the days of your life together.

And may your days be good and long upon the earth.
